I am having a dialogue with Sarah Luczaj over on the Psychology, Philosophy and Real Life blog. It is about our experience and how it relates to who we are.

We don’t know much about what goes in the world, and we are unaware of much that goes on in ourselves too (there is physical stuff from the atomic to cellular process to digestion and much else besides). For psychotherapy the question of what we are aware of, and how this relates to the parts of ourselves we are unaware of, is important.

This post is about a gestalt understanding of the self and the organism. In gestalt the self is what we are aware of and the organism is the whole of us. This has huge implications for how we understand ourselves and how we do therapy. I think the discussion will be fascinating.

Would you like to feel less stressed?
Could you do with more joy in your life?

The answer is living authentically. Buy the book or sign up for the course now from my Living Authentically website.
