First a confession. I haven’t read any copies of the newsletter yet.
So, why am I telling you to sign up? Because of the great PDF you get when you do. It is called Career Satisfaction from Within and it really is great.
It is a collection of exercises to work through: they are clearly explained and in my view will help you to the realisation of important insights. The focus is on career but the insights you find will apply to your whole life.
In the Introduction Chris explains that the eBook is for two groups of people
The first group would like to change careers or start a business, but has the nagging feeling that for one reason or another, the transition isn’t possible.
The second group entered the working world feeling driven and passionate, but gradually the work became uninspiring and routine. These people . . . just want to find a way to restore some of the passion and drive they had when they started.
The eBook guides you through four stages (each with several exercises):
1. You are not your career
2. Let go of your resistance
3. It’s OK to have wants
4. Give yourself permission to enjoy what you do
In the conclusion Chris gives the main idea of the book, that:
you can achieve the most success and fulfillment in your career when you come to it from a place of wholeness, rather than looking to your career to make you a complete or adequate person. With the peace and composure that come from feeling whole, you can take risks, overcome obstacles and step into the leadership role necessary to create the career situation you want.
As you can see it is a quite different approach to most approaches to work and career and will apply to far more dimension of your life than just your work. I think it really is a magnificent piece of work.
You can sign up for the newsletter at the top right side columnr of Chris’s blog, Purpose Power Coaching.
You also get a teleseminar and will get the newsletter too, which I’m sure will be excellent. But the eBook on it’s own is enough.
[Declaration of interest: Chris was good enough to interview me for the launch of my eBook and course called Living Authentically. For which I am very grateful to him.]
Would you like to feel less stressed?
Could you do with more joy in your life?
The answer is living authentically. Buy the book or sign up for the course now from my Living Authentically website.
