A Great Blog on Activism and Personal Change

There is a great blog on being an activist. It is called Ripples of Improvement Making a Difference With Personal Responsibility, and is authored by Cathy Crovis.
Cathy is an environmental activist and her particular concern is the Chesapeake Bay (a major body of water in the US). Cathy’s training is in biology, especially marine biology. The blog is about her journey from her current situation of being a part-time activist to becoming a full-time one.
What makes Cathy’s blog so enjoyable is that it isn’t just about the cause she cares about. It is about her personal journey to be an activist. She writes about the challenges and difficulties that are involved in being an activist. This makes it far more engaging than just the facts and figures on why the Chesapeake is worth saving (most of us probably don’t need to be convinced about this).
Cathy writes well: simply and directly. And she willingly shares her struggles as well as the progress she is making on her journey. This is a rare blog that combines both activism and personal change and that is also well written. It is well worth checking out.
Update May 08, Cathy is currently taking a break as she moves house and starts a new job.
