Hi Lethoko, glad you liked the post. As to strength and sexuality - there are various practices in Eastern traditions to avoid ejaculation and so on, if this is the kind of thing you mean. These people don't seem on the whole to live longer than Westerners who don't practise these kinds of things. This is just my personal observation.

Hi Maria,

I hadn't heard this. It sounds right to me though.

I'm interested in the potential it has for a few of us to influence each other in healthy ways. It's got me thinking.

Thanks for your comment.

I have heard that most of us are the average of our 20 closest friends and family members. This applies to everything from weight and fitness to income. It seems like one of the best things we can do to be happier and healthier is to seek out happy, healthy friends.

Hi Maudrey,

Welcome. These kind of things can seem a bit freaky can't they. I have two friends who seem to have the same moods - even when they haven't contacted each other. One rings the other, even after a few weeks and they are feeling the same.

Thanks for your comment.

I have always noticed that my bestfriend (of some 20 years) and I always seemed to have similar things happening to us over the years. Our love lives always seemed to be mysteriously connected in that when everything was going well in my relationship, hers was blooming as well. But we also noticed that when her personal relationships were troubled, so were mine and vice versa. In our early 20s, we both gained weight on the same summer even if we didn't spend that much time together. Interestingly enough, even our body clocks seemed to be synchronized as well. This has always baffled us and sometimes even freaked us out. So thanks for the enlightening post. This truly explains a lot. At least now, we can both strive to be happy so that we can both live longer.
