		<description>what a beautiful, profound post!  i'm so glad i found you through this project.

i think it's very important to ponder the "other" - the one that seems so different from us, the one that is so hard to have compassion for.

i find that i "otherize" people mostly in superficial relationships: the waiter who is "stupid", the cashier who is "indifferent", the fellow customer at the drugstore this evening who i told my daughter was "rude".  people who just flit through my conscience.

may i be given the grace to open my heart to them not just now, as i reflect on them, but also when the situation happens that makes me judge them.</description>
