This is a link to an excellent post by John at Storied Mind. Storied Mind is about John’s living with (and now mostly having dealt with) depression. This post is about our tendency to undo any praise we receive by criticising ourselves (something that those of us without severe depression also do – in my experience anyway!).

He describes the process he used to undo this tendency in himself – arraigning himself in court. The topic is serious but John’s treatment is humorous too. He writes with a light touch. It is a very well written and practical post. It is called Depression, Praise and Undoing Success.
