John Allison has a great blog called Technology for Living.

The technology he means is not the stuff you buy in shops – it is the means we use to improve our lives: thoughts, feelings, habits, new behaviours, ways of seeing and so on. So, ‘technology’ is in one sense a metaphor – using it as an approach to increasing our enjoyment of living. In another sense it is literally true: how we live is as much a technology as the stuff we buy. And it has the potential to make much more difference to our enjoyment of life.

The technologies that John covers take in such things as: NLP techniques, meditation, the use of myth in everyday life, and simple tips and tricks to help you just get through the day better.

Technology for Living also contains links to resources on such topics as: spiritual growth, personal development, and general effectiveness in day-to-day life.

I really like John’s style. It is very practical and down-to-earth. It gives you stuff that you can use immediately to make a difference.

And if you are not as much a text junkie as me John also puts podcasts on Technology for Living. It is a great source of practical ways for making a real difference to how you live.

Update May 08.  John seems to be on a bit of a break – although his last post says he plans to continue with his blog.
