Just a quick personal update from me.
I have only two days of a part-time job left. I have had this for about the past 14 months as well as a full-time job. I intend to never have this kind of life again. Working 6.5 days most weeks is just awful.
I am very glad that this time is coming to an end. So you, and I, would expect I’d feel elated and energised. But I’m actually feeling like doing less not more. I’m feeling: hurry and be on holiday already!
Not exactly a holiday. I still have a few weeks of my full-time job before I can take a holiday. But it will be a huge relief when I do.
This will mean moving cities, putting our stuff in storage at my parent’s place, and then visiting friends.
I plan to keep on blogging – but may be a bit lazier about commenting on other blogs and responding to emails – apologies in advance for any delays in responding.
I hope life is going well with you, it is about to make some definite improvements where I am, Evan.
Would you like to feel less stressed?
Could you do with more joy in your life?
The answer is living authentically. Buy the book or sign up for the course now from my Living Authentically website.

Hey mate – take it easy, we all need a break!
Hi Albert, I feel like I do need a break, and I certainly plan to take it easy. Great to hear from you.
Hehe, I wouldn’t think you’d be elated and energised at your part-time job coming to an end when you’ve still got a FULL-time job to contend with for another couple of weeks! Maybe you’ll feel energised after that one finishes, or after you’ve finished moving your stuff into storage at your parents’ place, but surely not before all that!
I don’t think I realised you had a full-time job and a part-time job! I wouldn’t DREAM of doing such a thing. I wouldn’t last a WEEK of working 6/5 days a week but you’ve lasted 14 months! I’m sure you had your reasons but it’s hard for me to imagine that such a decision would ever seem like a good idea at the time. I guess you got to save more money that you’d have been able to otherwise, and maybe it’s worth it for a year or so if you can manage it without burning out. But thank goodness you’re leaving that all behind you very soon!
xx Chr.
Thanks Christine, the reason for sticking with both was financial necessity – Canberra rents are horrendous. I’m very glad I’m leaving it behind me. Good to hear from you. Evan
Hi Evan — congratulations on making what sounds like a welcome change — I know that when I quit a job I had for several years, I immediately found myself catching up on a lot of sleep — I hope you get the chance to do that too.
It’s the first thing I plan to do on day one – sleep in!
