[...] Use tools to simplify tasks and save time. – “I have used the MYOB computerized accounting system for a book selling business, even though I have to put in all the data. This is because it integrates inventory and accounting. This saves an enormous amount of time. Other than that I just use a small pocket diary - because more sophisticated PDA’s and such are just extra hassle (hassle both to keep up to date and use). I don’t need to keep track of lots of appointments so I don’t need anything more than a small diary. When I have something I have to remember (a bill to pay in a few weeks for instance) I put it in a prominent place on the pin board above my computer. It’s simple and it works.” – via wellbeingandhealth.net [...]

Thanks Jenny.

I hadn't thought about music. I don't use it much but I know for others it is very important.

I hope the new time without children will be enjoyable, even if a little lonely at first. Or maybe it's a long desired change(?).

Thanks for taking the time to comment.

Hi Evan, GREAT tips. I work at home. I've been an at home mom for the last 8 years. This fall my youngest goes to kindergarten and believe it or not I will still work from home (and then I might actually get some work done)! ;-) I definitely have hit that "insane" feel during winter at times when all I am is in and out of the car for errands and dropping my daughter off and then rushing back to blog and do other work online. What helps me is exercise and music. I NEED fresh air (for longer than it takes to get into the car) and walks always seem to help my mood tremendously. I have a close friend I walk with 2x/week and my husband and I try to get out once a week. These are hour long walks and the air always heals me (even this weekend when it was 0 with the wind chill). If I really need to be inside for a long time putting on an upbeat song and dancing seems to do the trick! GREAT post! Jenny

I think in a similar way.

Totally agree that you need to find something that you enjoy doing and are passionate about.
