Anorexia in Men
Just a quickie to point you to a post on anorexia in men by Isabella Mori of Change Therapy (you will find a link to her blog in my Blogroll).
Anorexia in men is, I think, not thought about nearly enough. Isabella is reporting a study that attempts to re-dress the balance of the focus on women and anorexia.
The study also compared the professional understanding of the problem and the understanding of friends and family. For instance,
“experts and literature agreed that a distorted body image is characteristic of male anorexia, patients and family did not”.
It’s an important topic and a good post, you can go to it by clicking on this link.

Looking forward to seeing more on it.
Hope it generates some interest in a topic that I don’t think is thought about enough.

If someone you know manifests a symptom of Anorexia or any eating disorder, it is important to talk about the need for a treatment.

Hi Anorexia Treatment,
I entirely agree. And important to do it in a gentle way I think. People with Anorexia can be offended if you suggest they have a problem - my experience anyway.
Thanks for your comment.
