For those who want to know more about me and my approach to health.

When I was thirty-two and discovered I wanted to write a christian physical spirituality I thought it would take a decade or more. It only took about five years – not consistent work, but reading and writing and feeling and then writing a bit. I hope soon to have some photographs taken to illustrate and then I’ll be able to publish it.

My thirties were mostly spent in Brisbane. I did a counseling course with the Anglican Church, became a qualified Myers-Briggs facilitator and pursued my interest in Shiatsu which led me into acupuncture. A friend and I also ran a small massage training college. I was earning money doing some counseling and massage – mostly with people who heard of me through word of mouth.

My move to Brisbane from Sydney was for many reasons. However an important one was that I had fallen in love with the woman who I would marry. Eight days after we had decided to get together I told her that I wanted to marry her. This actually took a bit over a year. After about eight years together (five years ago now) I left. I felt utterly exhausted and needed to leave. This probably went as well as possible – there were less nasty moments than were usual I think. We have both now got new partners – she has married and I have become best friends with someone.
